From the Artist:
"I have always been fascinated by facial expressions, and the scream has been a subject present in my work for a long time.
Technically, it’s something that gives me a lot of room to play and locks me into the paint.
The scream has this unique potential for processing chaos, horror, anger, and desperation—abstract impulses.
Emotional repression comes as an unconscious protection of the mind, making us avoid painful psychological contents.
Not addressing this natural process of the mind makes us keep repressing emotions and thoughts—this is accumulative.
Eventually, keeping this tension can reach a critical point that is unbearable.
This canvas is about the gap of silence before everything turns into chaos and becomes uncontrollable.
It’s a painting related to repression."
